Eero Saarinen
Finnish-born Eero Saarinen has brought many masterpieces to modern design. His Arch in St. Louis and his TWA terminal in New York City are groundbreaking designs that reduced design in effective structural solutions with movement. He frequently said that In any design problem, one should seek the solution in terms of the next largest thing. If the problem is a chair, then its solution must be found in the way it relates to the room. Some of his more important furniture designs are the Womb Chair which was designed as a challenge from Florence Knoll to create "a chair that she could curl up in" and the Tulip Chair which was created in response to Saarinen's belief that "The underside of typical chairs and tables makes a confusing, unrestful world," with the Tulip Collection created to "clear up the slum of legs." Other notable designs is the 71C Executive Chair, the Saarinen Tulip Side & Dining Tables, and the Organic Chair.

The following collection is an outlet sale for Authentic Knoll Saarinen Overstock, Customer Returns, Open Box and Floor Samples at considerable discounts.
